OBC Fall 2020 Awareness Campaign

Ottawa Bicycle Club (OBC) Fall 2020 Awareness Campaign: Ongoing ‘til Spring 2021

In the first two weeks of September, you will see 11”x17” OBC posters pinned on lampposts in various neighbourhoods in Ottawa. This is a project initiated by the OBC advocacy committee to highlight our core OBC services, including promoting safe group cycling, an advocacy position we agreed upon. More importantly, this awareness campaign is to uphold our visibility and position as a premier cycling club that uniquely offers a variety of cycling programs (albeit adversely impacted by COVID-19 in 2020).

If you see one of our OBC posters in the month of September, take pride by snapping a picture then tagging your friends, and @ottbicycleclub and emilygraves613 on twitter, and @ottawabicycleclub and egraves613 on Instagram.

We continue to look for volunteers (in addition to our high school student volunteers) to help disseminate our OBC posters and have our 4”x6” postcards pinned at bulletin boards in bike shops, sports stores, coffee shops, or corner stores. If you live in a condo or apartment building, we need you to pin an OBC postcard at your condo/apartment bulletin board! Our posters and postcards have scannable QR codes that directs anyone to our website, please share the e-version to your cyclist friends. The OBC awareness campaign runs from Fall 2020 to Spring 2021.

It is not too late to show your pride and support for the club.  Please complete the information on tab 4 (volunteer signup) in this shared worksheet.

More 11”x17” posters will be pinned on lampposts in various neighbourhoods in Ottawa in Spring 2021.
