If you have limited experience riding in a group or are new to the OBC, you will be expected to take the OBC’s free Group Riding Techniques training program before participating in the club's rides. That program will help to give you the knowledge and confidence to ride safely in a group.
When you sign up for your first group ride, be careful to select the type of ride (I.e., road, gravel, or women’s-only), distance and pace that you will be comfortable with. New or less experienced cyclists should choose a shorter distance and slower group for their first ride - it’s better to feel you could have done more than to struggle to keep up throughout a ride!
The advertised start time for each ride is when we plan to start riding. Be sure to arrive early so that you are ready to ride at the appointed time.
