Race Report - Ultralink Calabogie Classic

There was great racing on a great course this weekend in Calabogie at the Ultralink Classic O-Cup. From the youngest OBC racer Derek Gee 3rd in the youth event (11 years old) to the masters, your performances were great and hope to see our success continue as the season unravels.

The S3 Men's race was well animated by attacks of Peter Tregunno and Doug van den Ham which kept the group on their heels. In the finale Doug won with Ryan Phelps 4th and Peter 9th. Congratulations to Doug winning is second S3 OCup (and perhaps his last as he has earned his upgrade).

The S3/Junior/Master women's race unravelled with a few crashes but OBC team members Florence Laplante-Lamarche and Stephanie Rees stayed focused to the end, safely. Florence was 1st (and only) Cadet woman and Stephanie placed 2nd Senior 3. Special note that this was Stephanie's very first race, so congratulations and we are looking forward to working with her in our team.
