This year's Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour was the biggest event to date with some 1925 riders participating in the 2 day event. The weather was great on Saturday with lots of sunshine. Sunday was a little wetter but it did not seem to cause too many problems for the cyclists.
Two new rest stops, one on the Classic route - Perth Road Village park and other on the Cruise - the church in Toledo, proved to be very successful with the riders who stopped by for rest and refreshments.
The number of cyclists requiring assistance this year also proved to be less.
Thank you to the local ARES groups, who provided radio coverage all the way down the line.
