The Ottawa Bicycle Club takes great pride in sponsoring the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour, the most complex and demanding event on its calendar. It is regarded by many as the best of its kind in Canada, attracting approximately two thousand local, national and international participants.

The RLCT is a 41-year old success story, a testimony to its quality and popularity! Since the first tour in 1972, this fabulous ride rolls out every year with the help of dedicated volunteers.

Volunteers are essential.

The Northumberland Tour is once again returning to Breakers on the Lake in Cobourg set for the long weekend in May.  We are keeping the same basic format and capacity, with a pre-packaged selection of route maps.  This will give us more time to get the actual rides organized and make sure that everyone has a suitable group to ride with. 

Allison Lampi (Infinit Nutrition/Cyclepower Women's Cycling Team), will speak passionately about women's cycling at the regional and international level. After attending this session, you will have gained a perspective from a local rider and team manager (and OBC member), with examples from local and international experiences (with input from a number of local female riders), on the challenges, opportunities and successes of the current women's bike racing scene. Doors open at the Naval Officers' Mess  at 7:00pm. Cost is $3 per person for use of the facility. Inexpensive cash bar. All are welcome including non-OBC guests.

Ron Phillips, Paul Datar, and Bram Moerman each did a great job in telling us really inspiring, captivating stories from their legendary cycling lives. I think we have started a great tradition. Thanks so much guys for your time and effort!
