Century Tours
A Century is any tour that covers more than 100 miles, or about 161 kilometres. The OBC has several Century Tours integrated into its Sunday Touring Program that are not overnight events such as Rideau Lakes to Kingston and the Summers End to Cornwall.
Destinations include Iroquois, Calabogie, Montebello, Alfred and Lanark. All of the Century Tours start and end from Billings Bridge except for the Calabogie Challenge, the Humanathon and the Animalathon, which start and end from Brittannia Beach.
Note that a new Animalithon East leaving from Elmvale mall was introduced last year for riders who wanted the challenge of a 300 + km day ride but not combined with the challenge of the hilly terrain of the club's traditional Animalathon. It is an easterly route that includes the scenic St. Lawrence Seaway Parkway around it's mid point.
Note that Century Tours departing from Billings Bridge are not considered official OBC century tours.
